[00:00:03] This side of the natural state. [00:00:07] This is Public Facing the podcast. [00:00:48] Well, good day to you each across all your respective time zones. [00:00:52] Pull up a chair, have a seat. [00:00:56] Allow me to welcome you to Public Facing the podcast, where culture and community meet, sharing everyday voices and extraordinary stories. This is the talk show that dives into the true stories, the voices and issues shaping our world. [00:01:14] From topics on the current events that shape our lives. Government, science, religion, the arts, music, film and community voices from those serving their communities on the front lines. Every day we'll welcome guests along the way, we openly welcome their conversations, testimonies and personal stories from the dedicated men and women that provide these services as first responders to their communities and the true life emergencies that touch the lives of so many. [00:01:50] Now, these fine folks, they come running in when everyone else is running out. [00:01:56] So we bring you the conversations that matter. [00:02:00] Besides the, you know, the addition of the stories that impact the public, because those should always be public facing. [00:02:13] So I just kind of wanted to kind of set a mood here. [00:02:24] You see, our time together, we're gonna include many moving parts. [00:02:36] So as this forms, our episodes are that of a scripted, get unscripted talk show hosted by Joe Holman. That's me. [00:02:48] And welcome to the inaugural Episode zero. [00:02:53] I began my podcasting and broadcasting journey all the way back in 2006. [00:02:59] There are many options out there and all around us and well, you could have been anywhere else doing anything right now, but you, you're here, you're listening to our show and that's pretty great. We're so glad that you're here. [00:03:13] You see, it also shows that you make good decisions now, regardless of what you hear, share. During our time together, I have but one request. [00:03:25] My hope is that you can find truth and hope inside the stories that we share. [00:03:33] So that said, let's get into it. [00:03:38] So who the heck am I? [00:03:42] Well, my name is Joe Holman. [00:03:44] I'm a man wearing many hats. I'm a son, a father, a husband, grandfather, great grandfather, great, great grandfather. [00:04:00] But beyond that, I'm a dog dad. [00:04:03] I'm a Christian, a business owner, and the creator and host of Public Facing the podcast, and friend to many called to assist those in a variety of ways. [00:04:16] When I'm not creating episodes or on the air with a broadcast, I'm connecting with individuals both near and far, listening to their stories, testimonies and other accounts of life experiences both within and outside of the faith and the church, out of the eye or the interest or even the care of the communities that they live in. [00:04:43] So I want to stay tuned for future episodes and you'll hear these are their stories. Ding, ding. [00:04:52] Now, I want you to just come on, sit right here with me. [00:04:59] Now I often call this a more intimate segment, the morning or midday or even the midnight monologue. [00:05:09] But I can accurately gauge as to what point of the day or night that you might be actually hearing this. [00:05:18] So today's moniker, and probably ongoing, will be a mid episode Mon Monologue. Excuse me. [00:05:27] So more of a commentary, but you know, whatever. [00:05:32] Now this show is poised to be a lot of things. [00:05:36] It is by design a method to share current events and also true stories and conversations on the topics that impact the public. [00:05:47] But it's going to be more than that. It's going to be way more than that. You see, when I imagine this show and the methodology for which I was going to accomplish passing on the information, I picked out several aspects for the secret recipe, so to speak, to deliver the best of episodes, to make the most impact, best effort, for best results. [00:06:17] So the here's kind of a list of ingredients on how I propose getting to the secret sauce. [00:06:30] So number one, ingredient, information shared, must be true. [00:06:42] Now, number two, the information shared must be accurate. [00:06:48] Number three, the information must be verifiable. [00:06:54] Number four, there will be an opportunity for communication and conversation. [00:07:03] Number five, we have here, every episode will include positive and uplifting content. [00:07:16] And finally, number six, guest spots will include official or eyewitness, real life testimony and dialogue. [00:07:29] Now not every ingredient will include every single ingredient though that is certainly a base that I scribe for. [00:07:39] But the kind and the measurements of will vary. [00:07:45] It's be super boring and bland if every episode contains all the same things. [00:07:52] So make no mistake, these are the staples though, and they make a great base. [00:07:58] Our episodes are not a cookie cutter type or one size fits all. [00:08:05] Instead, hard topics are always up for discussion. [00:08:13] Now there are going to be guest spots over time, but not necessarily every single episode. [00:08:27] Now we have guest interviews being arranged even. Now all this is being done with you, the listener in mind. [00:08:35] Now a side note, there are so many keywords and buzzwords and sound bites out there that try to convey a particular thought or message. [00:08:48] Unfortunately, many of those are often misused or overused. [00:08:54] Many are more so cliche as they are losing their value or relevance. [00:09:02] Now as an example, I've heard some words such as authentic, brave, literally extremely overused, just to name a few. [00:09:17] The problem is compounded when the words are incorrectly applied or used interchangeably with another and in a manner that changes the end Meaning these are still great and useful words. Yes, they can be and should be used. But let these be used and placed correctly. [00:09:40] Now, please. [00:09:42] I do not pretend to be some kind of English scholar, nor a linguistic liaison. [00:09:49] I'm not secretly nor publicly working as Wordplace. [00:09:55] I'm human. [00:09:56] In each episode, I will do my best. [00:10:01] I go to great lengths to weed out errors prior to these broadcasts. [00:10:06] I strive to get it right. [00:10:08] When I do get it wrong, and it'll happen at some point, I'll promptly admit it and promptly issue a correction if necessary. [00:10:19] Now, my dear listeners, our show is created first and foremost for your benefit. More so for yours than mine. [00:10:30] But let me be clear, this is a labor of love. [00:10:36] All right, are you ready? [00:10:41] Following is a non paid endorsement. [00:10:44] The content herein is solely the recommendation and opinion of myself host.
